On this visit to Kissimmee, I traveled most of this trip solo. This was a new experience for me, since I am used to having my husband and two preschoolers in tow! It was a great way for me to enjoy some of the fun things around Kissimmee for myself. Here are my favorite activities during this trip to Kissimmee for solo travelers.
Spa Treatment at Relache Spa at Gaylord Palms Hotel – This was the ultimate way to relax during my visit to Kissimmee. I booked a manicure and pedicure and just enjoyed the quiet time at the Relache Spa. This is a world famous spa and they will truly pamper you. It was refreshing!
Shopping – Whenever I have some time without the kids, shopping is always one of the first things I want to do. In the Kissimmee area, there are so many unique shops in Old Town, Celebration, and even the Historic District. If you are looking for bargains, you can also hit the nearby Prime Outlets and Lake Buena Vista Factory Stores.
Car Show at Old Town – I spent an evening at Old Town in Kissimmee during the Car Show. If you are a fan of older cars, this is a must do during your vacation. There are on average 300 cars that make an appearance every Friday and Saturday night at Old Town. There is live music and even a car parade. I love getting an ice cream and just walking around the Car Show at Old Town.
Dinner Shows – I love food and being entertained while I eat, even better! Dinner shows are such a great way to enjoy a delicious meal and have some fun. Some of my Kissimmee favorites include Capone’s Dinner Show, Medieval Times Dinner Show, and Arabian Nights Dinner Show.
Read a Book in Celebration – I love the Town of Celebration with the wonderful restaurants and fun shops. There is also two quiet ponds right next to the main street of Celebration. There are rocking chairs and benches around the ponds, to sit and read a book or relax in the great Florida outdoors. I enjoy reading a book by the pond and then having lunch at Columbia (1905 Salad is the best!)
Get My “Game On” – One of my favorite activities in the Kissimmee area, when traveling solo, is DisneyQuest. This virtual reality attraction at Walt Disney World is 5 floors of fun. You can be a pirate, ride on a magic carpet with Aladdin, create and ride your own roller coaster, or catch up on some old school games like PacMan.
Take a Trail Ride – I love horses and there is nothing better than a morning trail ride through the Florida countryside. Horse World in Kissimmee is one of my favorite stables for trail rides. There are trail rides for the beginning to advanced riders. Grab your cowboy boots and take a trail ride through Kissimmee and see the Florida nature firsthand.
There is so much to do in the Kissimmee area. These are some of my favorite activities while enjoying my visit, traveling solo.
