Cafe Tu Tu Tango – Tapas and Art

Tu Tu Tango, a wild tapas restaurant with an artistic flair, certainly provided a unique dining experience for our final dinner in the Kissimmee area. Vibrant paintings crowded every wall and live performances entertained the whole family.

My kindergartner, a self-proclaimed artist, got a kick out of watching local artists painting unique creations before our eyes. For the price of a tip, my daughter posed for a quick pencil portrait. She sat amazingly still (for a five-year-old!) and was delighted by the artist’s rendering of her.

At one point during our meal, a pair of Flamenco dancers spun through the restaurant, gathering up patrons to join in the fun along the way. My two-year-old was mesmerized by the colorful dress and lively dance.

The tapas menu includes items not only from Spain, but also from Asia, Italy, and beyond. Choose from cold items, salads, seafood, flat breads, and more. Our waitress recommended ordering two tapas to share per adult. Our favorite choice was a special offering that evening, the Sloppy Joe Quesadilla filled with shredded beef. It was slightly sweet and certainly messy, just like the sandwich for which it was named.

The kids’ menu offers five dishes: spaghetti, grilled cheese, chicken fingers, corn dog and pizza. My husband and I were actually a little jealous of our children’s delicious cheese and marinara pizza on crispy flatbread crust.

The brightly colored art, live entertainment, and upbeat music provide distraction for all and drown out any fussy behavior from the kiddos. This hip restaurant may prove to be over-stimulating if you just spent a day at one of the local amusement parks. Still, Cafe Tu Tu Tango would make a lively family or date night dining choice after a day spent relaxing poolside or at the beach. This place is popular; call ahead to avoid a long wait!

Cafe Tu Tu Tango is located at 8625 International Drive.

Since I like to try a variety of food when I look at a menu I think I would love this tapas restaurant. I hope I wouldn’t be limited to choosing just 2 to share with my husband.
