I’m happy to report that the Michigan contingent has arrived in Kissimmee! Because driving would have taken too much time away from our adventures in Kissimmee, we decided to fly. It was our first time using AirTran and I have to say that it wasn’t too bad. The flight was actually pretty smooth and the plane was in decent shape for an older 717. I will say that the seats were a bit cramped and that I’m glad I was sitting next to my hubby because it would have been a little uncomfortable sitting that close to a perfect stranger!
I’d forgotten how nice the roads are in Florida. I can only wish that Michigan roads could be so nice. Driving from Orlando International Airport to Global Resort Homes was a piece of cake, especially since I prepaid Thrifty Car Rental for using the toll roads and got to bypass all of those toll booths. With all of the driving we are going to be doing, that will be $36.00 well spent!
Once we arrived at our rental home, we were absolutely floored. The house is just beautiful and the Social Media Team left us some awesome treats to enjoy (thanks Tara!!). I’ll have an entire post on the house in the next day or two, but if you’ve ever considered renting a home from Global Resort Homes and haven’t yet made the reservation…just do it! We’ve got 7 family members all settled into the 5 lovely bedrooms and the only person still awake is yours truly because I’ve got the sleep habits of an owl! Plus, I had the urge to write a quick post to let everyone know that we’ve arrived and how happy we are to be here.
Tomorrow is our planned trip to Gatorland, so keep checking back for my post on that. I’m sure my boys will do something crazy, so hopefully you won’t hear about my trip on the local evening news!
More soon!
Laura…
