• Global Resort Homes – Why I’m Never Going Home…

When I first started planning my trip to Kissimmee, I knew that I wanted to acquire a vacation home instead of staying at one of the Walt Disney World resort hotels.  While the hotels looked fantastic online, they were pricey and they didn’t have much space.  There would be seven of us traveling from Michigan and another five from Texas, so that would have required us to get three to four hotel rooms or a couple of suites to accommodate all of the family.  And even with all of those rooms, we wouldn’t have had much space to spread out.  I wanted space to lounge and a place to cook a few meals so we wouldn’t spend all of our money on food.  Enter Global Resort Homes.

I first heard of Global Resort Homes about a year ago when one of my friends stayed for a weekend.  She came back to work raving about how wonderful the homes were, which led me to investigate the properties on the Internet.  That investigation led me to contacting Global Resort Homes, and well…here we are.

When we arrived at our five bedroom home, my Mother and I were somewhat speechless.  The house is simply beautiful.  We walked into a foyer with a high ceiling and continued into the great room, still with high ceilings.  I love how the kitchen is part of that living space and how the sink is in the island section so we can talk to each other when doing the dishes.  This area also leads us to my very favorite part of the house – the backyard, where the private hot tub and swimming pool reside! :-)

    The Beautiful Kitchen Area!

Actually, the hot tub and swimming pool are the favorite things for just about everyone of my family members.  First thing in the morning, the jets are turned on and people are in the hot tub.  Once the boys are out of bed, they make a mad dash for their swim trunks and then they jump in the pool.  After the long days we’ve spent walking around theme parks, you’ll find people back in the hot tub in the evening.  And even when the boys are tired from the theme parks, they end up jumping back into the pool in the evening.  Can you tell we love the hot tub and pool?

    My Boys Enjoying the Backyard!

Above I mentioned that this house has five bedrooms, which really worked out for my family of seven.  We have been able to spread out and have our own space, which is exactly what I was hoping for.  Another bonus is that each bedroom has its own bathroom, which means there has been no fighting over showers in the morning when getting ready to explore Kissimmee.  All of the bedrooms are beautifully decorated, with very rich, vibrant fabrics.  I like that the home owner didn’t make everything neutral because the colors really give the house an extra oomph.

In addition to what I’ve mentioned above, the home has a bunch of little extras that make it so much more inviting than a hotel.  For instance, each bedroom has its own TV.  This has been very popular with my Dad, since he has been able to go off and watch hockey or the World Series while the children are watching cartoons.  Also, this house has multiple video game systems and the garage has been converted into a game room, with air hockey and pool tables.  I can’t imagine that anyone would ever get bored here!

Our time here in Kissimmee is quickly coming to an end and if I could figure out a way to keep this house I would.  I’ve loved everything about it and staying at it has helped make this one of our best family vacations ever.  I’ve already heard my husband telling my Mom and Dad that he’s not sure if he’ll ever be able to stay in a hotel again.  That’s serious praise because my husband is a man of few words.  If he tells me he likes something, he must really like it for him to verbalize the thought.  Global Resort Homes was great to deal with and I can easily see us staying here again.  Of course, that’s assuming I ever leave.  They’ll have to get me out of the hot tub first.  :-)

It was a wonderful experience. We were so happy with everything. I hope that people seriously consider Global Resort Homes as an alternative to the resort hotels.

This the best resort we have ever stayed at — even beats disney with your own pool we personally stayed at this home. It is all brand new and global does a great job of keeping things in great shape. You will love the experience.
