• Pirate’s Dinner Adventure

I’ve read all kinds of reviews about different dinner shows down in the Kissimmee area. Since everyone in our family is a giant Pirate fan, the Pirate’s Dinner Adventure was the most fitting choice for us.

When you first arrive, you are required to check in outside to get your tickets for your meal. Here is what’s on the “Port of Call Feast” menu that is included in the regular ticket price:

~ Variety of appetizers at the King’s Festival pre-show
~ Choice of mixed green salad with House dressing or homemade cream of vegetable soup
~ Treasure’s chicken and Pillager’s pork with mushroom sauce
~ Choice of Caribbean rice or roasted red potatoes
~ Apple cobbler served with vanilla ice cream

There were lots of options to “Customize Your Adventure” by upgrading and adding different things to your experience. There was a V.I.P. option that included things like front row seating in the main show, guaranteed participation and interaction with the Pirates, upscale appetizers, and optional entrees of lobster tail with shrimp and salmon or filet mignon. You also had the option of upgrading your chicken from all dark meat to white meat for an additional cost. We did not elect to do any of the upgrades this time. I have to say, the food was just okay, it wasn’t fantastic.

There was a live pre-show to get things started while appetizers were served.

The show itself was really cool! The stage was an authentic replica of an 18th century Spanish Galleon floating in 300,000 gallon lagoon right in the middle of the theater.

We were excited when the Pirates on stage asked for kids to come up onto the ship, our daughter was super excited and went right up. She thought they were going to make her walk the plank and was looking forward to having a swim! Well, that didn’t happen, but she loved it anyway because they put on a little costume and paraded around the theater!

After the show was over, we went back out to where the pre-show took place and our kids got to interact a little with a couple of the main characters. They really enjoyed that, the Pirates were a whole bunch of swashbuckling fun! All in all, we had a fantastic evening!
