Well it’s Christmas eve and we’ve just landed in the sunshine state! And sunny it is, we went from shivering in Manchester airport to sweating in Orlando airport in less than ten hours!
The flight went wonderfully, it’s always a pleasure to fly with Virgin, they are our airline of choice and they served a turkey Christmas dinner on the flight!
We were impressed with Emerald Island when we arrived at the resort it is a large complex with a huge community pool, tennis and basketball courts and is gated with security which is always nice. It’s also very conveniently placed very near to the 192 which is full of restaurants so we would definitely stay here.
Virgin Holidays picked out a good house for us, it is large and comfortable, however I would have chosen a house with more doubles over twin bedrooms if I were picking the house myself. I think in the future we will go back to booking our flights and house separately although it was really convenient through Virgin Holidays, part of the fun of a vacation is planning it!
