• Livin A Pirates Life

Who wouldn’t want to be a pirate?! Live on a ship, visit islands, not have a care in the world…Okay maybe it isn’t quite like that you also live in constant fear you’re going to die either by shipmates or a wreck or who knows what.

While in Kissimmee we were able to attend the Pirates Dinner Adventure, we knew we wanted to take the time to do at least one dinner show and since the boys are really into pirates we knew this was a must. This show is set upon a replicated 18th century Spanish style ship surrounded by an audience showroom. Upon arrival you’re seated and given a mascot to cheer on as the show goes on.

It truly is an adventure experience, throughout the whole thing they are engaging the audience to make you feel like you’re a real part of the adventure. I think it was a little too realistic for the girls as they were freaked out when it started but by the end they were cheering just like everyone else; Jillian just wanted to know the “princess” was okay. Every show, over 150 audience members have the opportunity to play an actual part in the show.

Sometimes food tends to get skipped and they just throw something on a plate, in this case the food was pretty good. The feast included your choice of soup or salad served in serving sized bowls, Treasure’s Chicken, Pillager’s Pork, Caribbean rice, roasted red potatoes, and apple cobbler a la mode for dessert. I will say that even though I don’t eat chicken there was plenty of food to eat and still be beyond full. The three younger kids opted for a kids meal of chicken fingers, rice, and potatoes. They also offer vegetarian options as well as some upgrade options like all white meat chicken, shrimp, steak, etc.

Be sure to arrive early for a pre-show and an array appetizers.Following the show there is a dance party and a chance to interact with the characters. The kids took this opportunity to have their pictures made with the pirates and the “princess.” All in all it was a great family evening out.
