Step inside The Ice Factory for a cheap family-fun activity

Step inside The Ice Factory for a cheap family-fun activity

I have two little girls, ages (almost) 6 and 4-1/2. Trying to find something to do with them on vacation that doesn’t cost $100 for the family, doesn’t include the hotel pool, or won’t bore their brains out is challenging. Like, really challenging. Add to that, something that’s indoors out of the blazing summer heat.

Central Florida is all about Disney, but guess what? You don’t have to pay to experience this part of Disney. That is absolutely right… Downtown Disney will cost you zero to get into. It is very fun to go down there during the day or take an evening out and go down.

There are so many parks in and around the Kissimmee area, but I have to say Seaworld has always held a special place to our hearts simply because there is so much learning about all kinds of sea life. My youngest daughter is really into all types of animals so she absolutely loved this entire [...]

Dining in Kissimmee With Kid Friendly Restaurants

Dining out is always a highlight during family vacations. You definitely want to have a positive dining out experience, but that is not always the case if you happen to choose a restaurant that is not all kid-friendly. You start to see the stares after a bit as you have sat down and realize… ok? [...]

It’s Beginning To Look A Lot Like Christmas at Magic Kingdom

It’s Beginning To Look A Lot Like Christmas at Magic Kingdom

The chill has arrived in the air here in Florida. It made for a perfect day at Magic Kingdom. I have to agree this was an awesome time to take in the parks. We were not having to down bottles of water because of heat exhaustion. It was cool enough in the mornings and evenings [...]

After driving through many stages of weather from snow, sleet, freezing rain, and to just rain; our family has arrived! The girls were full of ohhhs and ahhhs as we drove through the city. Singing a Christmas tune at SeaWorld

If you aren’t in the holiday spirit, I guarantee you a trip to SeaWorld’s Christmas Celebration will have you humming a holiday tune. Gingerbread, gnomes and an e-mail to Santa

The Family Memories Gingerbread Experience was first on our agenda this morning at the Gaylord Palms. It’s a special event you can get packaged with your stay during the Christmas season. We joined other families in one of the resort’s meeting rooms, where we were given pre-baked gingerbread walls and roof pieces, along with a [...]

Checking in at the Gaylord Palms Resort

We arrived in Kissimmee about 5 p.m. to check into our room at the Gaylord Palms Resort. Gracie got excited as soon as we saw the many Christmas lights decorating the entrances to the Gaylord and the outside of the resort’s convention center, where ICE! is housed. Gaylord Palms has more than 1,400 rooms, half [...]
